Personal Lines Marketing/Customer Service
Salary range $52,000-65,000

SUMMARY

CH Insurance is looking for a full-time personal lines insurance marketing/customer service professional

The right candidate is dependable, flexible, people-oriented and enjoys working in a family environment. This position will work with many of CH Insurance’s personal lines customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing superior service in a timely manner.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

  • Prepare applications and review for accuracy

  • Rate and quote new and renewals risks using insurance carrier rating systems.

  • Awareness and familiarity with insurance company underwriting guidelines and authority.

  • Keep current on all insurance company’s coverages, rates, changes, forms, communications, etc.

  • Prepares summaries and proposals for new and renewal accounts.

  • Process endorsements, certificates of insurance, auto ID cards, policy changes

  • Working knowledge and competency working in Applied EPIC or similar agency management system, Microsoft Word and Excel, and/or Adobe PDF.

  • Respond to coverage questions, billing inquiries and other client requests

  • Establish relationships with insurance carrier underwriters and marketing representatives.

  • Maintain marketing files.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 or more years of independent insurance agency and/or insurance carrier underwriting experience related to marketing or underwriting and servicing personal lines accounts.

  • Working knowledge of personal lines insurance products (auto, homeowners, umbrella, renters, rental/landlord property, cycle, boat, etc)

  • Ability to interact with clients in person, via phone or email.

  • Applied (EPIC) or similar agency management system experience required. Applied EPIC preferred.

  • Technical knowledge of personal lines coverage & rating

  • Knowledge of computer software packages, including Word and Excel

  • Knowledge on how to issue binders, certificates, and auto identification cards

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills

  • Team player with a good work ethic

  • Good organization skills including prioritizing time sensitive assignments and completing assignments with tight deadlines.

  • Ability to be proactive and follow up with carriers, producers, clients, etc.

  • Ability to multitask to work on multiple accounts with common due dates, etc.

  • NYS Property / Casualty Agents/Brokers license required

  • Maintain NYS Property/Casualty Agents/Brokers License through continuing education

Our normal work week is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.  There may be times when additional time is needed during the busy season.

 
Personal Property & Casualty Sales Professional

SUMMARY

CH Insurance, an independent insurance agency, is seeking Property & Casualty Sales Professional. This position will work to generate new leads and sales opportunities from the CH alliances, phone prospecting, email blasts, and lead follow-up calls.  This position does not require weekly travel but may have the occasional meeting offsite.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

  • Target small accounts and prospects, such as, liquor/hospitality industries which include retail stores, restaurants, bars, special events, and non-profits.

  • Understand customer needs and answer their questions.

  • Build a database of current/potential customers with expiration dates by making a minimum of 50 phone calls each day (subject to change based on selling).

  • Learn how to obtain online quotes from carriers.

  • Engage, use, and have a strong presence on all social media outlets.

QUALIFICATIONS:

​

  • NYS Property & Casualty Agents/Brokers license required.

  • 1-2 years of Property & Casualty experience.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
